1. Repaving Insertions

1.1 Announcement Insert

ODMdev Is Being Repaved. Migration to a new server introduced a number of problems that require repairs. In addition to those defects, some older pages also need to be modified and reorganized for consistency across all of ODMdev. While the site is being repaved to accomplish both kinds of improvements, you may notice discrepancies and problems with links to site content. Check the Site Repaving Project pages for additional details on the known defects and the approach to correction and upgrade. Contact the ODMA Technical Coordinator with questions and to report any defects that you notice.

This insert is used as long as this particular set of activities is underway. It is shown in areas that are subject to these activities and others. When a new set of activities are initiated (along with an update announcement), the new insert will fill in where a repaving insert is still in place.

1.2 Construction Structure Completion Insert

This Construction Structure was successfully repaved as part of the 2007-07-24 stage of the Site Repaving Project. Check those pages for additional details of the approach to correction and upgrade. Contact the ODMA Technical Coordinator with questions and to report any subsequent defects that you notice.

This insert is used where the Construction Structure has been repaved, replacing the announcement insert there. In some places, such as construction zones, a construction structure completion and a content repaving completion will both be inserted.

1.3 Content Repaving Completion Insert

The Content Material here was successfully repaved as part of the 2007-07-24 stage of the Site Repaving Project. Check those pages for additional details of the approach to correction and upgrade. Contact the ODMA Technical Coordinator with questions and to report any subsequent defects that you notice.

This insert is used where the Content Material has been repaved, replacing the announcement insert there.

1.4 Content Original Paving Assertion

When new sections and content is introduced and the material is paved correctly from the beginning, the following insert is appropriate:

The Construction and Content Material here was created in conformance with the style requirements of the Site Repaving Project. Check that folder for additional details of the approach to correction and upgrade. Contact the ODMA Technical Coordinator with questions and to report any subsequent defects that you notice.

2 . Current Activity

The first priority is to have the construction structure of the site be current and properly connected.
- This is accomplished by performing a review starting with the "front porch:" the root materials at http://odma.info/dev/. Work items and their completion will be reported as part of the front-porch Construction Zone.
- After the front porch is adjusted, the construction structure of each subfolder is reviewed, extending recursively through all of the construction-structure elements only. Additional items that happen to be noticed will be added to the work items of the applicable construction zone.
- The construction structure and the related construction zones can be located by navigating the construction structure provided at the front porch.
- When the construction structure is reviewed and adjusted as necessary, a completion message will be inserted to avoid wondering which structures have and have not been reviewed.
The second priority is to have the devNotes content be consistent, reachable, and properly linked.
- The modifications to this compilation of material will begin with those important for the ODMJNI Public Beta.
- The devNotes section has a construction zone for management of its internal construction structure. Items about elements of the overall repaving will be found here.
- The devNotes section also has a Catalog and a Job Jar for the collection of devNotes. Any repaving at the collection level will be reflected in this job jar. This level will provide a checklist for the review of individual devNotes for any adjustment and repaving.
- The individual devNotes also have their own Diary & Job Jar pages. In addition to regular work items and notes, those pages may also carry detail items that apply to repaving of the individual note.
- As appropriate, completion messages will be inserted to avoid wondering which devNotes have and have not been reviewed.
These activities will be carried out in parallel so that the essential needs for the ODMJNI Public Beta are met as quickly as possible.
On completion of these adjustments, other sections will be reviewed and repaved, including the construction section and others that have content other than construction structure. Since ODMdev is the newest part of the ODMA Interoperability Exchange site, the changes here will be relatively straightforward.

The completion inserts first used on nfoWare are customized here for use with the particular tasks of this stage. Updates, with more tasks, will have their own completion page links, just as for the announcement insert. However, the completion inserts do not change, once used, since completions happen with respect to a specific repaving announcement.
